These are some of my winter skincare essentials and some of them I really can’t live without. Especially the lip balm from Nuxe is a life changer. It rehydrates even the most dry and chapped lips and is a real life saver during the wintertime.
The Embryolisse face cream has been a staple of mine since I bought my first tube of it on my first trip to Paris back in 2012. It is great for all skin types and goes well under makeup.
The night oil from Origins is a new favorite of mine, but has definitely come to stay! It gives my face life and has really helped clearing it up.
When it comes to hands I have really been loving the Aesop Resurrection Hand Balm lately. It just does wonders. Nothing more to say about that.
Last but not least I love to use the rose water facial mist from Tromborg. It calms the skin as well as hydrating it and I love to use it throughout the day as a quick ‘pick-me-up’.
If you follow me on Instagram @katrineberner you will know that it is quite a long time since I got home from my small trip to Stockholm. But better late than never with a guide right? These places for shopping and eating are some of the best in Stockholm in my opinion.
1. Fabrique Bakery, Lilla Nygatan 12, Gamla Stan & Drottninggatan 102, Norrmalm
The Fabrique bakeries are placed all over Stockholm. My favorite is the one placed in Gamla Stan as there is an amazing and cozy atmosphere. They make the most delicious breads and cinnamon buns. Try the bun with cardamom if you want an alternative to the classic cinnamon bun!
2. Café Pascal, Norrtullsgatan 4, Vasastan
I absolutely adore this small café in Vasastan. The interior is beautiful and the café is very well decorated. We had a great breakfast/brunch there and I can especially recommend their avocado on rye bread. The staff were very kind and it made the whole experience even better.
3. Nybrogatan 38, Nybrogatan 38, Östermalm
This restaurant was probably my favorite of the whole trip. If we hadn’t first visited it on the last morning we would definitely had come back for more. We ate a very delicious (french) breakfast and the croissants reminded me of Paris. They were so flavorful and buttery!
4. Byredo Parfum, Mäster Samuelsgatan 10, Norrmalm
If you like quality perfumes with minimalistic flacons you should definitely stop by the Byredo store in Mäster Samuelsgatan. The store itself is so nice and has a very minimalistic outlook. It is difficult not to leave the store without a new scent as they are all so good (but also a bit pricey).
5. Acne Studios & Acne Archive, Norrmalmstorg 2, Norrmalm & Torsgatan 53, Vasastan
No trip to Stockholm without visiting the Acne Studios Flag Ship store on Norrmalmstorg. The store is huge and beautifully decorated. It is impossible not to leave the store with one of the iconic pink bags. Acne Studios is of course not the cheapest place to shop but you can actually save money if you buy there stuff in Sweden compared to their other stores around the world.
I can also recommend the Acne Archive store in Vasastan where you can get old collections with 50% off.
6. Papercut, Krukmakargatan 24
If you are a magazine lover, like me, I can very much recommend you to stop by Papercut in Södermalm. They have a huge selection of scandinavian and international magazines and books. What’s not to like?
