HOT DAYS IN PARIS

As you probably have seen on Instagram (or red in my latest post) I took a girls trip to Paris last week. We had a wonderful time eating good food, taking long walks through the parks, seeing the sun set over the Seine, looking at art galleries in the Marais district and hitting all the beautiful French fashion stores (yes – I did definitely not go out empty handed). I’m planning on doing a full guide for Paris so stay tuned for that one!

Dress Sessùn

I bought this dress on sale in the small Sessùn store in the 6th Arrondissement. I haven’t actually heard much about the brand, but – oh boy – it surprised me. It has a bohemian vibe to it and lots of the clothes made me think about a urban country girl. The details and the quality is beautiful – which were the exact reason why I fell in love with this dress. Yes it’s ‘just’ black but the belt around the waist makes all the difference. It’s light and flowy (and you can wear it without a bra) and therefore perfect for some hot days in the city.

T-shirt Cos// Skirt Maje// Sneakers Superga// Bag Céline

Another buy I’ve made in Paris was this blue striped skirt from Maje. Again a new brand to me (not all French brands is that easy to get hold of in Denmark). It ticks all the right boxes. Blue, striped and ruffled. What more is there to say?

Dress Ganni

Floral prints have not always been something I fancied but this summer it’s different. In general I think my style has evolved in a more feminine direction which I only see as a positive thing. Why shouldn’t I? Change can be good sometimes.

PACKING FOR PARIS

Top Uterqüe// Sunglasses Kaibosh// Scarf Tôteme// Sandals Isabel Marant

Tomorrow I will take off for Paris… and that means I’m about to stuff all of my things into my suitcase (reminder to self: make room for shopping). I’m going on a mini Europe city adventure with one of my closest friends Sascha and Paris is first stop. Paris is one of those cities that you can re-visit a million times without ever getting bored or getting the feeling that “you have already seen it all”. There are always new neighborhoods to explore, new stores opening and delicious restaurants to eat in. A guidebook is always great to have on hand and my personal travel series favorite is “Turen går til…” by Politiken. There are plenty of information about sights, museums, restaurants, the cutest little phrasebook etc.

Next (and final) stop is Amsterdam and I simply can’t wait. I have heard so many amazing things about this city, but neither of us have been there. If you have any recommendations for Amsterdam (or Paris for that matter) feel free to message me or drop a comment.

JUNE WISH LIST

Sweater Ganni// Trousers By Malene Birger// Espadrilles Vince// Bag Ganni
.
Orange is definitely the color of the season (just like yellow was last summer). It is the perfect subtle orange. Not to bright or neon. Ganni has just released their pre-fall collection and oh my it is beautiful and it contains a lot of orange pieces. I imagine wearing the sweater on a chilly summer night while watching the sun go down in the horizon. I wouldn’t mind bringing it with me this summer holiday where I will spend a lot of my time in the family summerhouse by the sea.
As you might have seen as well the espadrilles have got a serious comeback this season. They are everywhere at the moment (a long side its fellow buddy the ever-so-chic straw bag). I really need to get myself a pair as soon as possible (or should I say as soon as my bank account allows me, yep I have definitely had a ‘feeling spendy’ moment lately, ups).

A TRANSITIONAL OUTFIT FOR SPRING

Jacket Zara// Knit J.Crew// Jeans & Other Stories// Necklace Jane Kønig// Sneakers Superga// Bag Céline

These pictures were taken a couple of weeks ago where it was still a bit chilly (but sunny though). Therefore I was wearing my beloved rusty red cashmere knit from J.Crew. It has saved me from many outfit crises on those days where it isn’t cold but not warm either.
